mock-torian

When something is trying to appear older than it actually is. Taken from Mock and Victorian. Generally trying to give it an air of age and therefore superiority by having an oldey worldey look or fake provenance.
You would think that brewery has been around for centuries but its all mock-torian, it was only set up last month and that is all marketing BS.

Not-stalgia

The fake retro image or back story often used to indicate a past heritage that doesn't exist in anyone's mind other than the marketing department.
I love that retro look of the label on the 'Ye old timey beer' it gives a perfect not-stalgia to someting we created last week. Very Mock-torian.

Luge to Oblivion

When you have something very potent generally alcoholic or narcotic that hits you so hard there is no coming back and before you know it its the next day you have a hangover from hell and smell like a dumpster. It can be after a few other drinks and Tequila slammers seem like a good idea or that first drink of a Gin Martini on an empty stomach but its the feeling of inability to recover regardless of if you stop drinking that tells you that you have stepped onto the luge and are going head-first to Oblivion.
'We all had four mezcal slammers and that was the start of the luge to oblivion.'
'I remember trying that weird cigarette and then I must have stepped on the luge to oblivion as its all a blank.'

This is where a person(usually a parent) uses a child to aid them with directions, usually to the child's friends house. This tends to be in a car when a parent is dropping off multiple children they are only slightly familiar with and need to be reminded where the children live. This normally involves missed turns, lots of " I THINK its this way", "that was the way" and the occasional " no its not here"
Parent:"So where do we go next?"
Child: " Oh That was the turning we should have taken"
Child 2:" Oh you missed it"
Parent: " Arrgh the Bratnav is running slow"

Parent 1:" Can you drop Lilly home, I have a full car?"
Parent 2:" Err yes but its been a while since we went there I guess i'll have to use the Bratnav to remind me where she lives."
