A Poker term, when a player first sits down at the table and buys chips, it is called a "buy-in".

If a tournament is a $10,000 buy-in, then you must pay $10,000 to enter the game and you get that many chips.

The proverbial "brain fart". Also known as "scf". Making a silly mistake. A small, yet ridiculous blunder.
