PS/2 port

PS/2 port is a 6-pin mini-DIN connector named after IBM Personal System/2 series of personal computers in April 2nd 1987, that is used for connecting keyboards and mice to a PC compatible computer system. However, since 1998 more and more people think that PS/2 stands for "PlayStation" as there was a PC advertisement from 1998 saying "PS/2 DualShock Controller" as this PC now had a PS/2 dualport for both keyboard and mouse, and another PS/2 port for the new DualShock controller that had just started being shipped with the PC.
In 1998, I was surprised whilst seeing a PS/2 port on my then-new PC; I had originally thought those were just the port for keyboard and mouse, but this port was now used for a new PS/2 DualShock Controller that had just started being shipped with the PC.

Ps.

The backronym for Pleistocene, as this term for "ice age" coincidentally sounds like PlayStation
When my friend mentioned the Ps. era, I couldn't help but joke about how the Ice Age sounds like PlayStation—who knew history could be so gamer-friendly?

chicken jockey

A baby zombie riding a chicken, a rare and iconic occurrence in "A Minecraft Movie". This phenomenon gained mainstream attention when Jack Black's character, Steve, excitedly exclaims "chicken jockey!" during a fight scene, sparking viral reactions from audiences who cheer and disrupt screenings in response.
Every time I see a chicken jockey in "A Minecraft Movie", I can't help but shout it out loud—just like in the movie!

autonym

Derived from the prefix "auto-" (meaning "self") and the suffix "-nym" (meaning "name"), "autonym" refers to naming a character in your story after yourself as to speed up your story-making process. For example, if you're a 2004-born person named Adrian, then it would be a "no-brainer" idea to have a character in your story named Adrian "Ian" Appleton who is also a 2004-born person.
Using an autonym can really speed up your writing process; like if you’re a 2004-born named Adrian, why not create a character named Adrian 'Ian' Appleton who shares your birth year? It’s a no-brainer solution!

film

A slang term that combines the concepts of "a thin surface material" (like plastic film layer) and "movies", suggesting a playful or humorous overlap between the two meanings.
Every time I watch a movie, I can't help but think about how film is just a thin layer of entertainment stretched across our screens!

Parkinson's law

Parkinson's law states that "work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion". In the context of time management, this means that if you allocate a week for a task that could realistically be done in a few hours, it will likely take the entire week to complete, leading to inefficiency and procrastination.
I thought I could knock out that report in a couple of hours, but thanks to Parkinson's law, I ended up stretching it over the whole week just because I had the time.
