"Jambinese number plate" is the slang term for "bra", as "BH" is code for Jambinese number plate. Whereas, this acronym "BH" (standing for "breast holder") is incidentally also the Indonesian word for "bra".

When she joked about her "Jambinese number plate", we all laughed because it was a clever play on words for her cute new bra!

smart

Not to be confused with being academically "smart", this slang term refers to when a child has successfully figured out the behavioral requirements to get more screen time from parents, which may not necessarily be uniform from one pair of parents to next. For example, a toddler with an IQ of "only" 78 is already allowed by his parents to be on the iPad for hours on end. Whereas, a 20-year old college student is "only" allowed to watch YouTube for 1~2 hours per day just because he cannot afford moving out from parents' house yet.

That kid is so smart—he knows exactly how to act to get unlimited iPad time, while I'm stuck with just a couple of hours of YouTube each day!

The slang term for someone, like screenagers, who are addicted to social media

He's such a social media analyst, always scrolling through feeds and analyzing every single post instead of actually interacting with people in real life!

television

Commonly abbreviated as T.V., this entertainment appliance only works when it rains. Parents often claim that this phenomenon is meant to get kids to play outside, even though technicians have akcually found out that it's caused by water entering a damaged coaxial cable, which is a common issue that disrupts the signal. Rain can also interfere with satellite signals, a phenomenon called rain fade, by scattering or absorbing them. Other causes include poor cable connections, damage to the antenna or satellite dish, or an aerial that has been knocked out of alignment.

I swear, every time it rains, the television stops working like clockwork! My parents keep saying it’s to make me go play outside, but I found out it’s just the coaxial cable getting messed up! Seriously, why can’t they just fix it already?

first smartphone generation

This slang term refers to the first generation of children to grow up with smartphones, who are commonly born between 2000 and 2040. Hence, this behavioral requirement to get more screen time from parents, is the strictest during this time span*.

*compared to any era prior of after

Being part of the first smartphone generation means I basically learned to walk with a tablet in one hand and a phone in the other—my parents were super strict about screen time, but it didn't stop me from gaming and scrolling all day!

The nickname given to your girlfriend when she wants you chatting with her all the time, even though your parents akcually limit your screen time for smartphone
