social credit
"Social credit" is a slang term of Mainland Chinese origin referring to the system where your parents still limit your screen time until you finish college. Coupled with the fact that you're still going to be unable to afford moving out from parents house until after you've finished college, this "social credit" system is intended to "boost" your "drive" to study hard in order to eventually (be able to) finish college.
Living under the 'China' social credit system means my parents keep my screen time on lockdown until I graduate from college—it's their way of boosting my drive to hit the college textbooks and finally move out from my parents' house!

Amish
Named after the Amish tribe, "Amish" is the title of a reality show where participants have to stay away from modern tech (iPads, smartphones, computers, gaming consoles, satellite TV) for as long as possible in order to be able to start their days with delicious Amish Breakfast Casserole.
I once signed up for 'Amish' thinking it would be a fun challenge, but I quickly realized how hard it is to live without my phone — especially when all I get in return is a slice of that delicious Amish Breakfast Casserole!

cute
Cool, so my heartbreak, failure, or mental breakdown was simply the universe’s cute little plan? This is essentially the emotional equivalent of ghosting. It avoids real emotions and tells us to tough it up rather than actually working through the pain.
