The design or aesthetic qualities of something that are coloured in muted, dull and drab tones, where they should be bright and inviting.

The stuff in the arts and crafts stall seems to have all been hit by the mutehammer; it’s boring as hell.

A person who is seen as a lower rank perhaps, but who is seen to be punching above their weight and wanting to really play their role in the grand scheme as a respected person.

What can I say about her, she's a regular tryceratops trying to carve a good name, and life for herself and her soon to be young family.

Adding the phrase 'Just kidding' or 'Jokes' after something is said to reinfore the last stated thing, was to be taken only in jest.

I made a remark about my cousin's mole and a hockey puck, of course i then felt obliged to jesterfy it with; 'I'm just kidding mate.'
