WWWF

Once known as the World Wide Wrestling federation later the name was shortened to the World Wrestling Federation {WWF but they were forced to change thier name thanks to a lawsuit by the World Wildlife Foundation {THE "OTHER" WWF} & are now known as the World Wrestling Entertainment{WWE}.
I remembered seeing the WWWF back in the mid 1970's.

XEROK

A "super station" 100,000 watt radio station located in CD. Juarez Chihuahua Mexico that broadcasts on the a.m. dial at 800 megahertz.The format included A.M.rock,fundementalist christian programming & regional Mexican music.
In a clear crystal night XEROK AM could be heard all across the Southwestern United States. thier famous trademark is a cannon blast that is heard on occasion hence the nickname El Canon or The Cannon.
Back in the mid 1970's I always listen to XEROK in El Paso Texas since it was a hot station playing all the top 40 hits at the time.

Someone who is contracted by a supermarket to hunt down stray carts that are taken out of the property of the supermarket & into the neighborhood & round up the carts & return the carts back to the supermarkets.

superstations

A term used to describes a high powered tv or radio station that could be reached to millions of viewers & listeners using high power broadcasting antennas that are up to 100,000 watts strong. Superstations usally have a range of 200-400 miles (for television station) & on over 900-1000 miles (for radio station including night broadcast) & this was before,cable,satellite tv & internet services made thier apperances!
KTLA,XEJ,KNXT(Now KCBS)CJON,KSTM,XEW,KNME are t.v. sperstations & KNX,KCBS-AM,WHO,KSL-AM,KOY-AM,WSM-AM,XPRS,XEROK & WBAF are radio superstations.
