Survivor

A word trend in recent years has been the use of "survivor" not to mean someone who was almost killed, but anyone who has undergone a traumatic event. Terms like "Rape-survivor" and "Burns-survivor" being perhaps the most common, probably to emphasise the seriousness of the situation and to be more positive than to simply say "victim".

He is a rape-survivor.

Kinlang

A constructed language based on several genetically related languages (a family of languages).

These include the various pan-romance languages (like Lingua Franca Nova and Romanid ) and the interslavic languages.

A kinlang serves as a useful way for people who already speak similar languages to meet in the middle as well as for outsiders to learn a language they can use in multiple territories.

An alternative language; a type of constructed language that predicts the outcome of a certain alternative history.

Wenedyck is perhaps the most well known altlang; it is imagines what the language of the Polish nation would be like if their ancestors had spoken to each other in vulgar Latin.

Abduction

When someone is forcefully removed and detained, especially when done by aliens or to children.

A divorced parent without full custody taking their child on a road trip is abduction but parents unanimously moving their child to a new environment isn't for some reason.
