Muse Trap
1 : a relational dynamic in which a person is regarded chiefly as a source of creative inspiration for another, rather than as an autonomous individual with independent needs and interiority.
2 : the psychological state of mistaking the intensity of being idealized or “seen” by another for genuine intimacy or love.
3 : a warning sign in early romantic or professional attention, in which being cast as someone’s inspiration precedes a demand that the person remain fixed in that role, often followed by resentment, control, or exploitation when they fail to.
