Verb, to look something up in a dictionary program on your computer, typically using the program "WordWeb" though it could just using Google's define: keyword.

In the looser sense of the term it is to look up and receive clarification on a word that you question as to whether it exists or was used correctly.

Wordweaving 

Wordweaving is the action of adding more words to some content to make it appear more fancy than it actually is. Wordweaving can be positive as it makes the work more intricate, however, it can also be negative as it adds unnecessary word count.
Teacher: Mike, please write on the board what you did today.

Mike: "With the sun shining and the bees buzzing in the fields of flowers, I took a walk in the park.

Mike's friend: That's some good wordweaving Mike!
