An abrupt unexpected change in water depth while wading a stream. Occurs during trout fishing.

While wading the river in ankle deep water, Colton stepped over a deadfall. To his surprise, the water on other side was waist deep. Colton's initial response was, "WHOAFOK!" as he fell into the river.
