In da "Adventures Of the Norwood Builder" episode in da Sherlock Holmes series, da cruel vengeful hoaxer in da story dishonestly created da "crime scene" in his house to make it appear dat he'd been da victim of vileence dat had seemingly resulted in his demise, when in reality he was still alive and well, and his faking his own death was merely an attempt to frame an innocent young businessman and thus get back at da mother of said murder-suspect for having wisely refused to marry said sneaky rascal decades earlier. Fortunately for said unwitting youthful practitioner, da studiously-observant Holmes sees through said crafty ruse and exposes da antagonist as da treacherous fraudster dat he truly is.
