unofficial date
An unofficial date is when it is basically going on a date but when you were asked it wasn't said that it was actually a date.
EXAMPLE OF UNOFFICIAL DATE
Kevin: Hey do you want to do a project for school with me.?
Allie: Yea sure, but can go to the movies or something like shopping after?
Kevin: Yea that would be fun and we can get some lunch and everything. How about tomorrow?
