trimatic 

A three speed automatic transmission made for various Holden vehicles from 1970 through to 1988 such as the Torana, Kingswood and Camira. It was replaced by various GM units. Often endeared "Trimagic" for its fluid, smooth shifts, or "Traumatic" for its dire reliability record, the copious amount of power it robbed from the engine, and the overwhelming amount of oil it left on your driveway. Operation is by a column shift or floor shift.

Da term "tramatic" could also refer to da exact opposite emotional-phobia condition: i.e., a person wants to exclusively use da Metro to get around town and run his errands, and thus he avoids traveling by other common urban conveyances --- like a cab or bus --- whenever possible.
