Having a massive hissy fit or a tantrum and generally being overly angry.

Dude: "Man your mother used to be sound, but then she threw a massive gowl the other night and now I hate her."
Guy: "I know how you feel..."

Girl: "Get outta my face you dope!"
Guy: "Ah now, don't be throwing a gowl like"
