somewhat grounded

Somewhat grounded: this is the stage of being ‘grounded’ when you are almost at the end of your sentence. You are allowed to do stuff under SUPER close watch, and only if it’s not for socializing. Also when asked when you will be ungrounded the answer is always “I don’t know”

“Hey mom can I stay after school to ask my teacher for help?”

“Yes, but I will be asking if you were there for the whole time, Bc you are still ‘somewhat grounded’;)”
