A slang term describing either a workplace ethos of overworking employees or one’s own internal drive to overwork and accomplish as much as is humanly practicable in as short a time as possible.
He was known as the most slavedriving president ever elected and it was clear that in some ways, he was probably compensating for something he felt about himself.
