(verb): to mind rape something and turn it inside out. To strip something of everything beautiful about it. To take something totally awesome, and completely, utterly fuck it up. Named for the director M. Night Shyamalan.

Dayum, the Last Airbender has been Shyamalaned so badly that it's making me bleed from every orifice.

When things appear to be going fine, then take a terrible turn for the worst. Based off of the style of writing/directing of filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan, a proponent of twist endings.

Dude, I was about to hook it up with this hot girlie, but then it turned out she was a dude. There were a lot of signs that suggested she was a dude, but I overlooked them; in hindsight it all makes sense. I just got Shyamalaned.

Shyamalan

Someone who is spontaneous, sporadic, and friendly by nature, the epitome of good vibes. This person is the manifestation of the phrase “there are no mistakes” and someone who is smart yet a child at heart. Shyamalan is a person who you can stay up till 3 am with laughing, and in turn wouldn’t waver in staying awake with you and comforting you through your lowest because they’re so caring and love their friends. This person will lift your mood with their funny and positive nature and you can trust that they’d never let you fall of a swing! Think of any negative adjective to describe a person and Shyamalan would be the opposite of that. Consider yourself lucky if you have a Shyamalan in your life because they’ll bring you joy and be there for you whenever you need them (just like a Pokémon). This amazing human will listen to the shit you have to say every day without any complaint and make you feel way better with their greatly appreciated dirty humour and roasts.
