Retired gamer

Someone that used to play video games on a regular basis and decides to stop playing by no longer owning a console. Retired gamers usually miss playing games and love being able to do so at friend's houses.
Dude 1: "Dude, why come your friend always comes over to play FIFA on your shit?"
Dude 2: "He doesn't have an xbox son..."
Dude 1: "Why the fuck not? He loves that game!"
Dude 2: "He's a retired gamer, don't ask me..."

retired gamer

Similar to a retired hobbyist, this describes a person that doesn't have the time to play games like they used to anymore. Whether they used to play a lot of PC games and now just play console games, used to love MMOs and now play Minecraft or console trash, or really only play a couple of days of the week. It's that one friend with children now, that friend who asks if you're getting on tonight and doesn't show.
Do you remember that Sandbox crew that used to play all the MMOs and PVP with each other? They're retired gamers now, they just don't know it. I think the last time I saw them online was when they were playing Animal Crossing or trying some garbage Steam game.

Fogey/fogy /fougi/ sl. (early 18C+, orig. Scot) old-fashioned, stuck-in-the mud.
Person with old fashioned ideas which he is unwilling to change: Come to the disco and stop being such an old fogey!
You think me an old fogeyand an old tory, his thoughtful voice said. I saw three generations since O’Connel’s time. I remember the famine. Do you know that the orange lodges agitated for repeal of the union twenty years before O’Connel did or before the prelates of your communion denounced him as a demagogue? You fenians forget some things. (James Joyce, Ulysses. Penguin Books,1992. p. 38)

An armpit enthusiast — typically of the scent, appearance, and touch of hairy underarms.
That dude’s such a pitpig, I have to wear deodorant to keep him at bay.
