Refers to the comics section of the newspaper. Was a light hearted way to say goodbye, see you later, in the 1920s through WWII. Not derogatory at all. Could be used with a friend or casual acquaintance. Just a breezy way to say our lives are crazy, like the characters in the comics. Our lives are funny/ironic/interesting I wouldn't be surprised if someone started writing a comic strip based on us. I'll see you around, just as likely in the funny pages as anywhere else.

fist pumpers 

annoying ass people at dances, all they do is fist pump and get in other peoples way when they are trying to get their twerk on. they all also called anti-twerkers. sometimes try to start a train when other people are too busy twerking.
Jason: How was the dance yesterday?

Dennis: It was horrible, fist pumpers were blocking my girl and me

Jason: That sucks. Well I was throwing my hands in the air and grinding on a girl while some guy was trying grind on me

Dennis: Dude, I think you were the fist pumper
