A term that can now not only be used to describe someone bitching at ya and telling you what to do but also to describe something that is great or chill or cool or dope or whatever... so yeah, preach on.

person 1: I just bought a dope cruiser bike at the thrift store so now im set for the summer

Trying to be an adult and giving speeches about serious things when you are still in high school and no one truly cares. The preacher also tends to spoil others' conversations by adding his/her own sermon.

Spending time trying to convince people who are already behind you.

HR won't hire this guy. They want someone who can "hit the ground running". They must be waiting on a "purple unicorn". I apologize, I'm "preaching to the choir". (LOL. That was 3 metaphors in one explanation. I recommend using Urban Dictionary to look of the other two metaphors)
