pledgend

Noun: Pledgend. An individual who is pledging for a fraternnal organization, most commonly found on college campuses in the United States and some provinces of Canada, who demonstrates actions that go above and beyond exemplary. This individual, should they be deemed a pledgend, is assured a place in the Brotherhood he aspires to become a part of as his actions become not only historically significant, but in time, legend. His actions can often also be referred to as remarkable, surreal, ballsy or simply and most commonly, unheard of.

"I heard about your 2 hour and 12 minute keg-stand man, you pledgend!"

"Son, back in my day I was a straight pledgend, didn't sleep for 116 hours because of a stake out sting operation outside of a Walgreens."

Taking necessary precautions and doing as much as you can not to anger actives and avoid getting fucked in the ass by them and get hazed while pledging a fraternity.

Pledge #1: Shit, I didn't get all the tasks done for this week.

Pledge #2: Haha, you're fucked. Be smart and follow defensive pledging. I got my shit done a while ago, so now I can laugh at you while you eat dirt doing pushups tonight.

pledging

The act of trying to join a frat/soror. After rushing, the frat/soror may ask the rushee to pledge. The pledge must do whatever they are asked.

Sorority girl 1: Look at how cute our pledge is. She has to walk around campus wearing a bumblee costume and singing "Stars are blind."
Sorority girl 2: Yeah, we should make her eat dog food later. After pledging we don't even have to let her in.
