Alexander Ovechkin is well known and incredibly talented professional hockey player for the Washington Capitals. He is probably most famous for his prolific goal scoring. So much so that Verizon Wireless made a commercial featuring Ovechkin scoring ,ridiculous 9 goals (5 is the NHL record) in a single game, or a triple hat trick. In the commericial Alex dubs this unheard of feat an "Ovechtrick"
If there is one thing that Ovechkin is more famous for than his offensive skills, it's his ability to disappear when it matters most. For 3 straight years he has taken the caps to the post season, only to be completely ineffective and even look very disinterested and bored at times.

A term used for when a player scores nine (9) goals in a single game. The term was created by Alexander Ovechkin (Captain of the NHL Team, Washington Capitals) in an NHL Game Center commercial starring himself.

Boffin
British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
