mosher...a person who wants to be different from the rest of the world and most importantly to NOT BE A SHEEP.
most 'moshers' today dont really follow this...but there are many that do as well.
they listen to puck/rock/metal anything that means something to them personally and that they can relate to. they can wear bright clothing if they want but its the music they listen to that matters to a real mosher...the clothing comes with the territory.
they are the cool people of today and shud not be forgotton anytime soon. nicknames...they stick with moshers

*sigh* Umm, i don't know how many times i've had to explain this to the likes of 'some people' but just because others look different to you, dress diffently to you, and look like they might (just might) have an opinion, doesn't mean they are satanists. Trust me, if they were, all townies would be dead by now... hey, thats an idea!!

And then the goths, 'moshas', and all the other townie hating heroes did join forces to rid the earth of the scum that hath plagued us. And thus, the people rejoiced.

A mosher -by definition- is a person (particularly youths) that "mosh" and weares make, uniformed clothing.

But in a deeper sense, a mosher is a person that is not afraid to resist conformity and express themselves.

To many, a mosher is not a person that weares Dickies and Vans, a mosher is a person that will resist the norm.

By this definition, a mosher could be a person that weares "townie" clothing, but because i am prejudice, not many townies are intelligent enough to express themselves. Anyway, even if they were they wouldn't have much to express!

Strictly, a mosher is any person who "moshes"; a type of pseudo-dance characterized by jumping around wildy, pushing, shoving, and kicking within the bounds of a "mosh pit."

More specifically, a mosher is a person who listens to any genre of music ranging from punk to metal. They are often associated with antisocial behavior as well as other behavioral disorders.

In addition, they characterize themselves with specific styles of dress which they claim to be unique, different, original, our outside of the "norm." This is regardless of the fact that their dress styles are sterotypical and faddish, demonstrate a strict conformity to the "mosher" subculture, and are completely within the cultural norm of this group.
