Lurchism

Lurchism is the act of having a consistent belief but lurching violently in your opinions about details of that thing. Lurchism happens when a lurchist says anything about anything, he or she will lurch to the opposite position within a few days. Lurchism was defined and mastered by writer Pablo Friedman.
Julian is a lurchist, one day he says he loves a girl the next he dumps her in a vindictive manner. He always wants to find the right woman, but his lurchism prevents him.

Mary is a lurchist, she is patriotic toward Russia but is always lurching between her opinions about the war in Ukraine. Sometimes she thinks it is necessary for various reasons, other times she thinks it is a pointless land grab.
