An 80's hair metal band that are still alive and kicking today. They have changed their line up thoughout the years, but have reformed with their original line up. Their newest CD (made in 2004) is called Racing, and it is more thrash metal mixed with their 80's metal. One of the best things that came out Japan.

Get the loudness mug.(noun) The current trend in which music is produced and mastered to be as loud as possible so that it "stands out" on radio and other media. This is generally achieved by compressing the audio waveform so that the overall loudness of the wave can be increased. Compression literally squeezes the dynamic range (and therefore the impact) out of a piece of music.
Californication by the Red Hot Chili Peppers is a great example of an excellent album compromised by poor mastering. The loudness war is killing music.

Dude my friends dad was bumping my FAVORITE song, then he got a call. I think whoever he was talking to heard me yelling. It took me a minute to comprehend what happened in that time frame. Awkward loudness is funny as hell.
