ledbettered

To relegate an extremely brilliant song to the status of a B-side or soundtrack contribution. The origin comes from Pearl Jam leaving the absolutely awesome track "Yellow Ledbetter" off of their 1991 debut album 'Ten', instead making it the B-side to "Jeremy", although "Yellow Ledbetter" has since become one of their most well-known songs.
Person A: Man, I just heard "Girl Afraid" by The Smiths for the first time! I can't believe it was a B-side!
Person B: Yeah, man, they totally ledbettered it.

Yellow Ledbetter

verb. To mumble incomprehensible, similar-sounding phonetics over song lyrics someone isn't sure about.

This is done as a lame attempt to cover up for the fact that someone really doesn't know the words, when the more appropriate action would have been to just shut the fuck up. It is your moral obligation to bust this person out, to preempt future singing fail.
Bob (singing): When the light's out, it's less dangerous! Here we are now, In containers!

John: Dude, did you just Yellow Ledbetter all over Kurt Cobain?! Spare me your song-desecration, Lamesauce!

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.

Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.
