Not originally from World of Warcraft as some people think, 'kek' is the Korean approximation in english of laughter when typed on a Korean keyboard during Starcraft matches. As Starcraft was made by Blizzard as is world of warcraft, their connection to laughter in both games seems to be an homage of sorts.

It was then adopted as a word of praise by white supremacists towards the ancient tentacle monster Covfefe, whom they fornicate with; hoping their praises would compel Covfefe to cleanse the world with a great golden flood.

Kek can go to situations, jokes, but more umog used for memes. Kek means that the thing showed, done, or said is rather funny. And means that they liked the joke or situation. All though it is meant to be a complement, it can also be used in bad ways as well.

Invented by biscuit-manufacturer Bahlsen when he first introduced his Leibnitz biscuits around 1900. When people couldn't pronounce the english word "cakes", Bahlsen made up "Keks".
