Internet Hobo

A person who has no strong sense of belonging in the "real world" and spends a significant portion of his or her time on-line. By spending time on-line, the internet hobo builds up a network of contacts and virtual hangouts and develops an on-line home, basically by connecting with other internet hobos. (Incidentally, e-bum.com is a place for internet hobos to hang out.)
Your friends all move away or you move to a new city. The people you meet in real life are not your type of people. You work from home or have no real way of making contacts in your everyday life, so you turn to the internet for companionship. You are an internet hobo.

Internet Hobo

An internet user, squatting on another persons connection, possibly due to moving home and not having a connection of there own.
I've just moved house, so at the minute I'm an internet hobo. You can still contact me though as I'm stealing my neighbours WiFi.

Internet Hobo

A person who regularly bums around on the internet with no real goal or purpose.

A typical troll could fit into this category, however they would be the kind of hobo that's always asking for money at the shops.
Darcy: "Oi man, whatya up to?"

Me: "Not a lot. Just being an Internet Hobo."

James: "Did you talk to Jake last night?"

Darcy: "Yeah, he was just Net Bumming."

You think me an old fogeyand an old tory, his thoughtful voice said. I saw three generations since O’Connel’s time. I remember the famine. Do you know that the orange lodges agitated for repeal of the union twenty years before O’Connel did or before the prelates of your communion denounced him as a demagogue? You fenians forget some things. (James Joyce, Ulysses. Penguin Books,1992. p. 38)
