Owned by Abercrombie and Fitch, Holister is neither prep nor expensive. Yes some of the items are pricey but no more than Hot Topic. Now shoping there is kinda hard because of dim lit lighting, but that appels to some so I will let it go. If you wish to know more go into the store and make your OWN judgemnent. Who knows you might buy something.
Mei: Lets go into Hollister
Tori: All right, maybe I can find something to match these pants from Hot Topic
Mei: That shirt is badass and its only $10
Tori: I know.
Mei: I love how you make your OWN style.

owned by abercrombie&fitch to emulate southern california. slightly cheaper than its parent company, but still the same price as costly all black wear from hot topic, who is owned by GAP(who is also grouped with banana republic and old navy) Workers are typically young, attractive, slightly snobby kids who (before being hired) must have a sense of fashion. A higher quality alternative to its direct competitors (american eagle, the buckle, etc.)
shirt, jeans, belt and flip flops @ HCO = $130.00

shirt, overisized pants, metal belt, black doc martins, trench coat and multiple chains and rings to make you look "scary" and gothic when you're really a puss = $250.00+

A store owned by Abercrombie & Fitch. Shopped at by what some would percieve as "preps". Trust me, it's not the preppiest. Although i wouldn't be caught dead paying 60$ for a pair of ripped jeans, i don't really discriminate against people who shop there. It only becomes a problem when they brag and diss walmart shoppers. Honestly, you can get the same shirts for 5$ a piece at a department store. Hollister is just plain, name-brand, over priced clothing usually worn by teens and young adults.
1.) girl 1: I got these cute ripped jeans at hollister co. you like?

me: eh, i ripped my own, but your's are fine i guess.

2.) stuck up girl: chyeah, your just jealous because i can shop at hollister and you shop at walmart, poor freak.

me: ha. dumb bitch. i bet you won't be able to set foot in there without daddy's money. fuck off.

Hollister is a store that sells southern Cali beachy wear. All you people that say anyone who shops there is a sucker for super high prices for stupid clothing that all say hollister across the chest (most of there stuff does not,) well you should maybe get to know the people that shop there and some of us actually are educated bright people - not all dumb blondes. Why don't you actually go into the store or visit the website and see wat the clothes LOOK like instead of just being freakin' biased cuz you think its cool, it's not! And you're not going to make more friends that way, just a hell lot more enemies. If we wnt to wear the clothing LET US WEAR IT!!!!!
Sara: Cool skirt Rachel!
Rachel: Thanks
Rebecca: Why te hell do you guys wear that crap? It's from Holliser!
Sara: You don't need to put people down to make you feel better about yourself.
Rebecca: Whatever

Hollister is a great store, with really great prices. It mostly caters to teens, but I am 26 years old, and shop there. I never really knew what it had, because I used to have a bad attitude toward it. I would only shop at hot topic. The first time I went into the store, I became hooked. It's not only skinny white people working there. My friend works there, and he is black. It's not really all that preppy. The clothes are fun, and I love the vintage fit shirts, because I am pretty small. I also like that you can get the same shirt in five different colors.
Goths need to step off, and realize that they spend more at hot topic then they would at hollister co. They also should realize hollister clothes are more durable. I have bought shirts at hot topic that have gotten holes in them after a week. I have returned more shirts and lost more money shopping at hot topic, because of their quality. I have never had a bad experiance at hollister. Nothing but quality.
