A term for otaku media typically consumed by hikikomori (hikikomori + slop), i.e. very generic and relying on excessive moe and objectification of women to exploit lonely and reclusive young men into obsessing with said media and spending a lot of money on merchandise from that piece of media. Moege for example almost always fall under the definition of "hikislop".

Term that refers to lowbrow otaku media that exploit lonely, reclusive young men, especially shut-ins (hikikomori) by making them buy loads of merchandise and aggressively consume official side content no matter how dire their financial situation is in order to enrich anime production companies. Typically most moege (generic cutesy visual novels) and seasonal anime fall under this category.
