Honorable term co-opted by corporate douches to pump up poorly paid 'associates' or other low-wage workers. This mis-use of the term devalues real heros by referring to anyone who is doing what the corporate douche wants done at the moment as a hero. A real hero is someone who risks their own wellbeing to save another putting themselves in mortal peril.

Someone who has the courage to stand up for what's right or what they believe in, even when they themselves are scared. It doesn't matter how huge their deed is, even the smallest thing can make someone a hero. A hero can be a cop, fireman, doctor, or even a stranger on the street. It doesn't matter, anyone can be a hero.
