Common slang term for a loot crate, namely found in first and third-person shooter video games like Call of Duty and Fortnite.
The crates often glow in bright colors such as red, orange or blue, and make a glowing noise until opened, allowing the player to more easily locate and open it.

British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
