these kids that take sensory tools used for people with sensory issues and use them as toys to trade and play with, they then left a bad reputation on anyone who uses fidgets for sensory issues, mostly 7 year olds

fidget kid: Is that a fidget
Person who needs fidgets: Yeah, why?
Fidget kid: Can we trade? I have this ultra rare mega pop tube
Person who needs fidgets: no
Fidget kid: Why not, I'm over!!
Person who needs fidgets: Because it's mine
Fidget kid: Can I atleast play with it?
Person who needs fidgets: No, I need it!
Other person: Omg are you playing with a fidget?
Person who needs fidgets: Can you leave me alone about it?
Other person: That's so cringe! You must be one of those fidget kids

Fidget kids used to be a very common species now they can be rare and some are crusty 5 yr olds!

Some one:Hey look it’s a fidget kid!
Me: oh.
