dramatition 

A TV competition in which there is a heavy emphasis on drama. Reality shows like Top Chef, American Idol, and Flavor of Love are dyed in the wool dramatitions. A Dramatition may also occur unintentionally, as a Cinderella type story or when a competitor suffers a compelling emotional setback or an extremely unlikely sports comeback.

dramafications

Overblown predictions of dire events dat supposedly may befall you if you don't do a certain thing, buy an advertised product, take a certain precaution, etc.
Classic examples of dramafications would include da Y2K scares about food-shortages and/or da world's ending.
