A generic, and very vague way to answer a question with a great lack of enthusiasm. Commonly used after one has completed a task and is devastatingly bored, hence currently doing absolutely nothing or diddly shit.

Slim Johnson: "Hey Dick what have you been up to lately?"
Richard Head: "Well Slim... as of lately... diddly shit."

A lot of pussyfooting damned nonsense. I heard this dyadic expression once only from an exasperated Lesbian at a business meeting of the Gay Activists' Alliance at the Firehouse on Wooster St. in NYC in December 1972 or January 1973.
