California State University, Bakersfield is a public university located in Bakersfield, California. It offers a multitude of degrees to nearly 9,000 students, as it is one of the largest inland universities in California. In the last few years CSUB has been closing the
gap between itself and other
college campuses in California, as it will have upgraded to a state-of-the-
art Computer
Science building, along with a two-story Student Recreation center and new Student Housing complex by the winter of
2009.. These developments, as well as the “Freshmen Boom” of the 2006-
2007 school year have put CSUB on
track to achieve its “Vision of Excellence” by 2015, which will make CSUB the leader in student experience for all California State University campuses. California State University, Bakersfield is expected to continue to grow as the Bakersfield population increases and continues to support the Student Athletics/Activities programs.
