card counting

The only legal and consistent way to win in a casino. You can do this by using a combination of basic strategy, and keeping track of the cards that have been played. Assuming you know the rules of BlackJack, here is a quick explination of how to play.
Basic Strategy:
If the dealers face up card is a 4,5 or 6 the player should draw up to a minimum of 12
If the dealers face up card is anything else, the player should draw up to a minimum of 17
Always split Aces and 8's
The Count:
The player is aiming to reach a minimum target number when counting.
If the target number is reached or exceeded, the player should increase their bet because they will be odds on to win.
The target number is double the amount of decks being used (If the dealer is playing with 4 decks, the target number would be +8 or higher).
Every card delt has a count value. These have to be tracked in order to know when to increase the bets.
2,3,4,5 and 6 have a value of +1
7,8 and 9 have a value of 0
10, Jacks, Queens, Kings and Aces have a value of -1
Card counting does give the player a pecentage above the house, but it is not always easy to do. For maximum efficiency the technique should be practiced extensively prior to usage.
In order to make counting difficult for the house to spot, count teams are recomended. This is where one person does the counting while playing small, and signals the other team members when to come over and start betting big.
If you're serious about winning money, get serious about card counting.

church hurt

church hurt is where you experience a degree of distance, pain, or judgement from your church community. Essentially, you are just unable to “find your place”. This is prevalent in the Christian community, but can be extended to other religions.
Now that I am an adult I am beginning to heal from the church hurt that was inflicted on me as a child.
