Heavy Burner's Society

Heavy Burner's Society
Milpitas
1980's

Descriptive of any group or club of friends, loose-knit or organized, who enjoy, or used to enjoy, smoking pot.

Euphemism used to elevate the description of a white punk on dope as someone who is a member of an elite corps or club.

HBS Club in Milpitas during the 1980's, who's sole purpose was to get together and smoke joints (no regular use of hard drugs or booze though some friends of members had those problems).
Brian was an officer in the Heavy Burner's Society from way back.

He must've been in the Heavy Burner's Society, he looks like he smoked so much the 80's his eye's are still red.

Barner's Law

Barner's Law states that eventually, no matter if the odds are even beyond impossible, the outcome of a situation is bound to change. This is most commonly used during the ESPN Streak for the Cash game. Depsite a team's record, composure, ability, experience, or any other factor to be considered, Barner's Law states that while on Streak for the Cash, this team will eventually experience the second outcome (ie. if the team is winning a lot, they will lose, or vice versa.). After winning most of the games in the world cup, The Netherlands felt the effect of Barner's Law and lost in the finals.

Burner Standard Time

Burner Standard Time is the approximation of the time a meeting or event will take place between two attendees of Burning Man, which takes into account the reality that Burners are easily distracted and often late (especially at Burning Man). For instance, 4pm burner standard time should be understood as anywhere between 4:30 and 6pm "real" time.

While it is common parlance at Burning Man, it has application outside of the festival as well.
At Burning Man:
"Let's meet by the temple at at 3 o'clock burner standard time"

Outside of Burning Man:
"Larry is late again!" "Oh, he's still running on burner standard time"

Four Burner Stove

A metaphor used to describe a person's love life. Different love interests are placed on different burners, which can then be turned up or down depending on the owner of the stove's interest in that person from day-to-day.

Four Burner Stove theory states that the healthiest beings have four, and only four, burners lit at a time regardless of their relationship status.
Cody looked so hot last night, his burner's flame went from low to high on my Four Burner Stove.

burner stroller

A child stroller that costs under $30, that is usually foldable like an umbrella. This type of stroller can be left behind in public places by the owner and subject to being damaged, lost or stolen without guilt.
Parent 1: Should we bring the stroller on the plane to visit your parents?

Parent 2: No honey, bring the burner stroller so our $500 Greco doesn't get damaged or jacked when we check the stroller.
