antepiphany 

A statement or question that is deceitfully meant to be seen as an epiphany when in reality it is not an epiphany. It is usually used to try and seem more intellectual or genius. ex: You look up a concept on the internet and later pretend that you just "figured it out" to your peers to appear as if you are smart.

“The class foolishly thought he was smart because of his antepiphany.”

The mistaken feeling of a divine revelation, which turns out to be physiological in nature.
