The Vertical
Slab Fallacy refers to a lack action taken by a person / persons / company due to a sort of "nostalgia" or public image, even if said action would benefit everyone involved and has no negative side effects.
It'
s important to note that the Vertical Slab Fallacy can only apply when the one refusing to act / do something has
nothing stopping them from doing that thing, and they themselves are the only ones keeping the thing from happening.
Usually, the Vertical Slab Fallacy only applies when a large group of
people publicly and unanimously agree that a specific thing happening would be good or beneficial for everyone involved. This most likely becomes a running joke among said group of
people.
