The Wirral's Scouse Problem

The Wirral is a peninsular situated in the county of Merseyside, England.

People from the Wirral are labelled as Jedis, Wools, or Plazzy Scousers, by those who live in Liverpool. This is mainly down to a heavily inspired Scouse culture on the west side on the peninsular, Though some settlements milk it more than others.

It's major settlements from most to least "Scouse Influenced" are:

-Birkenhead.

Once Labelled as a "Model Town", Birkenhead is now known as a town that shouldn't exist. It is dirty, depressing, and down right ugly. A post industrial disaster. The people here like to think themselves as Scouse, yet do not share the community that Liverpool possesses. Birkenheaders are nasty little scumbags, who need to be sent on a boat to across the Mersey straight to the town of St Helen's where they belong.

-Woodchurch.
Town of Smackheads. The only redemption here is if they overdose off their smack then there's less of them about causing mayhem. They have an Asda and Weird terraced streets that look slightly American.

-Seacombe.
Just like Birkenhead, except you have a higher percentage of your socks being robbed off your washing line.

(Rock Ferry and Wallasey have a plazzy Scouse problem too)

Anywhere else on the Wirral is fine and represent much of it's former and ceremonial county, Cheshire. I hope this post has helped you to understand which places to avoid when entering this ancient peninsular.
The Wirral's Scouse Problem, defined as:
Birkenheader: "Yes lad, am a true Scouser from Birkenhead."
Liverpudlian: "Asif lad, ye a little Jedi."
Wirralian: "Sorry about him mate, he gives us normal Wirral folk a bad name."
Scouser: "Shut up Ye Wool."

flophouse

Any house/apartment/frat house/trailer/etc. which is used for individuals to crash (sleep, chill, hang out, lurk, etc.) for a period of time. In order to "crash", one must not actually live there (e.g. have their name on the lease, own said flophouse, etc.). Flophouses are typically used by college students, drug addicts, transients, vagrants, or other unsavory characters.

A flophouse may also be the home owned by the parents of a college student, who after being away at college, wishes to live as if he/she is still at college (e.g. staying out all night, returning just to crash at mom and dad's house, then leaving again), rather than conforming to the pre-college rules.
Example #1
Dude: (Talking to someone passed out face first on the floor of his college apartment) Hey man, who the hell are you? What do you think this is, a flophouse??

Bro: Sorry dude, I must have passed out for a minute.

Example #2
Mom: Where have you BEEN for the last three days? You come home just to sleep?? What do you think this is, a flophouse??!!

Son: What's your problem? I'm an adult now!

Hate Sink

A person you hate intensely not because they deserve such hatred but because they serve as a focus for your general hatred. A healthy way to dispense with excess animosity.
Jake's not really that big an asshole. He just serves as my hate sink.

funiosity

The art of being peculiar, but in an amusing fashion.
"Wow, look at that dog running on three legs"
- "Yeah, that sure is a funiosity"

A toe rag was originally a foot wrapping used, since mediaeval times up until the mid-nineteenth century, to protect the foot from chafing by boots or shoes. As these were, quite literally, rags they weren’t usually washed, and so with use they became very smelly until they were thrown away. Because of the similarity in smell, toe rag also became the name applied to dried, salted cod or other things with a strong, unpleasant, fishy smell. It didn’t take that long before the name was applied to someone who was an obnoxious, unpleasant OIC.
1 “Socks! Those aren’t socks you smelly git, they’re toe rags!”
2 “What have you been cooking? Smells like toe rag!”
3 “I can smell ‘er fanny from ‘ere, proper toe rag.”
4 That Heale Malcolm is a right toe rag.

Eternity leave

When some resigns or retires from a job, they are on "eternity leave". This can also refer to someone who has passed away, especially someone who worked somewhere for a long time, retired/resigned, then passed away later.
Oh I'm sorry, you didn't know that Kelly is on eternity leave? She resigned and moved to Hawaii!

With regrets I would like to inform you that my boss is officially on eternity leave. I will never see or hear them again. Ever.

The hypothetical man (often a sinister character who decided not to go to boot camp) that is doing your girlfriend/wife while you are on deployment overseas.
Ain't no use in goin home,
Jody's got your girl and gone.
Ain't no use in goin back,
Jody's got your Cadillac,
Ain't no use in feeling blue,
Jody's took your checkbook too.
