To capitulate for no apparent reason like Tottenham Holtspur FC in the modern day Premier League seasons between 2015 and 2019. The team was flying high and looked to achieve some notable feat but then before they cross the finish line they start losing for no apparent reason.
Then suddenly it was over and they lost. It was so spursy.
