Series Finale

(N.) The final episode of a TV series where all mysteries are solved and all questions are usually answered.

Most Series Finales come from arrogant networks canceling their time-tested quality shows for "New Viewers" and do not happen by choice. Only when a long-overdue-for-canceling show (Like "Friends") decides to actually stop doing episodes anymore, are Series Finales by choice.

A Series Finale doesn't count if a show has been on for less than One Season, or 13-22 episodes. So "The Will", "DotComedy", or "Life On A Stick" would not offically have a "Series Finale."
Beginning in 2004, networks started to cancel at least one of their top-rated TV shows, in order to boost ratings for next season. So when The WB's "Angel", UPN's "Star Trek: Enterprise" and Fox's "24" had their Series Finales, they weren't going to come back next year. EVER.

Series finale

I'm left feeling the way I felt about the whole Cowboy Bebop live action series. It was just so almost good I want to like it. But, look, you are already getting the nerf-hammer memes. Someone pointed out that he just lasers Kimiko in half, like, a week ago. And you could say "Well the chest beam made her more laser resistant." But when Homelander got the V-1 he shot lasers into the sky like Cyclops with his mask off and the diameter of the beam like tripled! His lasers actively got stronger. And then another person point out both that Homelander fly away while being pinned down by temp-v Butcher, Hughie, AND SOLIDER BOY and that he just flew a guy into space and came back in like 2 seconds! But 1 Butcher tentacle was able to pull him out of the sky? And the Deep! Can't he swim like... Fast? He can breathe under water but he swing at the speed of a regular guy? I also not think he's strong enough nor does he have enough of an arc with Starlight for him to be her final battle. I mean, it took about how long it should have taken for her to beat him but it shouldn't take as long for her to beat the deep as it took for them to beat Homelander. She should have had time to get there.
Hym "I wanted to like the series finale but I mean, he was weak. He was slow. His lasers were useless and it left me feeling like "Was he even really a threat?" The end of episode of 7 was like 'Oh no! Shit! What are the going to do!?" And it's like 'Just chest beam. Chest beam works just fine.' And I was lien"FIRECRACKER NOOOOOOOOO!!' When she died by the way and I WAS going to post it but I got distracted and then forgot and by the time I remembered I was like 'Well now it's to late'. Man. I'm just sad it's over. 2 more episodes would have solved all of the problems. Like a surprise 2 part finale like Harry Potter or something. You guys were fantastic though. Really, just the A-Team of casts."

The word 'flag' as pronounced by people with thick Belfast accents. The term is a perfect encapsulation of the disproportionate and overblown reaction to the removal of the Union Jack (as in 'de fleg') from above City Hall in Belfast. Where previously it had flown for 365 days per year, it is now flown on 17 designated days of the year - in line with many other British cities.

The event caused a portion of the Protestant community ('fleggers') to make international pricks of themselves as they proceeded to wreck the fucking place, claiming it was another erosion of a 'British' identity they perceive to have been under attack since the horrifying spectre of equality reared its head in Northern Ireland.

The word 'fleg' - and indeed 'fleggers' - fittingly describes a section of humanity unconcerned with knowledge, reality or the vagaries of the English language. Like America's tea-baggers they are ruled by instinct, fear and paranoia with a side dish of rampant bigotry and startling ignorance of the world around them.
"Wat de fuck like! The taigs got de fleg took down! Let's wreck de fuckin place! No surrender!"

"De fleg has been took down! Before ye know it there'll be a united Ireland! Attack Short Strand! God Save The Queen!"

To take something small, that doesn't quite qualify as a theft. Probably from the Danish "skæv" or the Dutch "scheef", both of which are pronounced similarly, meaning "askew, or not quite right'. To change an item's ownership without permission, but only something small and of little worth.
"I skeefed an apple off the neighbor's tree." "I skeefed some chips outta your bag when you looked away." "Don't skeef my chair when I go to the bathroom."

Hair spider

A tight, tangled knot of loose hair and lint that forms inside clothing during the clothes dryer cycle. It typically hides inside garments, causing an annoying lump or a phantom tickling sensation against the skin until it is found or falls out onto the floor during folding.

n. A screenshot fabricated by a company to misrepresent the graphics of a game; a combination of the words bullshit and screenshot.

Originated from Penny Arcade, a popular gaming webcomic.
-Have you seen Madden 2006 for the Xbox 360? The graphics are gonna be awesome!
-Dude, the Madden 2006 images they showed at E3 were bullshots. It doesn't look nearly as good as they said.
