Schatzki Ring

Schatzki Ring - A Schatzki's ring is a ring of tissue that forms inside the esophagus, the tube that carries food & liquid to your stomach. This ring makes the esophagus narrow in one area, close to where it meets the stomach. It can make it hard to swallow (dysphagia) . You may feel like food gets stuck in your esophagus.

Schatzki–Gary ring is also a another name for it

Patients with Schatzki rings can develop intermittent difficulty swallowing or, more seriously, a completely blocked esophagus. The ring is named after the German-American physician Richard Schatzk
