Reave
To rob one of something very dear to them by force. Usually something that would leave the victim poor and waif like in the streets searching for food in dumptsers and meaning in life now that they are reaved,

Brought to public attention by Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein in the book on the fall of Richard Nixon, All The President’s Men, ratfucker was Nixon’s term for a political operative who sows chaos among opponents; an agent provocateur.
