Pull a Lily

To go out with Guy #1 for two weeks and somewere during

this time she falls in love with him then dumps him. After

two weeks she goes out with Guy #2 for two weeks then

dumps him. After a two year period she goes out with

Guy #2 for two weeks then dumps him says she hates him

goes out with him two weeks after dumping him the

repeats this process about 15 times with her imbetween

them going out says she hates him. Then one time were

she tells him that she loves him then the next day dumps

him. All while in love with Guy #1.
Guy #1: Will you go out with me?
Lily: Yes

She falls in love with him

Lily: Its over

Two weeks later

Guy#2: Will you go out with me?
Lily: Yes

Agian two weeks later

Lily: Its over

After a two year period

Guy #2: Will you go out with me?
Lily: Yes

Two weeks pass

Lily: Its over

Next day

Random Friend: So when are you and Guy #2 getting back together?
Lily: EEEW NO NEVER I HATE HATE HIM

Two weeks later

Lily: Will you go out with me?
Guy#2: Yes

After this process is repeated multiple times we go to one time just as they got back together

Lily: I love you
Guy#2: I love you too

Next day

Lily: Its over

Ten minutes later

Lily: You know I still love Guy #2 from two years ago
Closest Friend: Duh its obvious

Guy #1 and Guy #2 remained good friends throughout this entire time seeing as they all go to the same school

Because all of that happened over a three year time span the term Pull a Lily is thus created

West Midlands slang word for rockers, bikers, greasers etc. In the late 1980s it was used by the UK music press to refer to a specific scene centered around the bands Pop Will Eat Itself and Crazyhead. The term never found favour with readers of 'the inkies' (Sounds, Melody Maker and the still extant NME) and was soon dropped. Now often used in predominantly working-class areas of the midlands and the north to mean someone who listens to rock-derived music and/or dresses in a manner that suggests they affiliate themselves with rock music of some kind.
