Pack it in

A very country way of saying to quit, give it up, or stop trying. Originates from pack it up, which is what you would tell some one when youre done doing something and ready to move onto the next thing.

Pack it in- v. to change, fix, clean or otherwise alter a situation, object, appearance, behavior, or area in a positive way, usually by removing or reducing some or all negative aspects, traits, or problems thereof.
