Pack it in- v. to change, fix, clean or otherwise alter a situation, object, appearance, behavior, or area in a positive way, usually by removing or reducing some or all negative aspects, traits, or problems thereof.

“This apartment needs to pack it in. We haven’t cleaned it in a month.”
