Narcissationalist

A person who engages in excessive self-promotion by exploiting sensationalist information, often distorting or exaggerating events to draw attention to themselves and elevate their status.
Characteristics of a Narcissationalist:
1. Self-Promoting: Constantly seeks to be in the spotlight and desires admiration and validation from others.
2. Sensationalist: Uses exaggerated or shocking information to captivate an audience.
3. Manipulative: Twists facts or sensationalizes difficult events to create a perception of importance or relevance even with the expressed desire for only good.
4. Attention-Seeking: Thrives on the attention garnered from the sensationalist content they spread.
5. Lacks Empathy: Often shows little regard for the impact their actions may have on BOTH sides, as long as it benefits their image.
The narcissationalist politician used the scandal to boost his media presence, disregarding the harm caused by his exaggerated claims.
