A funnier, and a better channel than Much Music. Mtv Canada have funny veejays and a great live show. It is basically like the american mtv with all its shows (Date My Mom, Made, The Hills etc), but it doesnt not play any music.

MTV Canada

A very new age TV channel broadcasting only in canada.

Very different from MTV USA, although it does play most of the same programs as the US version, certain programs such as mtv live and mtv news are exclusive to the canadian version.

Unlike its american counterpart, the canadian MTV does not shove idealistic opinions down its viewers throat, instead havingwhat are called "impact" specials, which shine light on current events which are relatable to today's youth, such as the Alberta tar sands, the recovery of Haiti, and even gay rights and activism.

MTV canada also features music videos from independant and alternative artists, instead of only top 40 hits.
MTV canada highlighted duck sauce's "babra streisand" on MTV NEWS, and now its my favourite song!

trucker's tan

A sunburn or suntan focused on the left arm. It is caused by the left side of the body being the only half that gets exposed to sunlight while driving. Presumably, it would be located on the right side of the body in countries where they drive on the left side of the road.
I had a trucker's tan after driving for 10 straight hours on a sunny day.

British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”

Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
According to the boffins downstairs, the murderer used a serrated blade.
